Open Day - Workshops for everybody

Open Day is an interesting experiment initiated by A Mouthful of Theater, based on canceling the usual distance that exists between the actors and the audience. On this special day, the festival opens its gates to all the ones that haven't been on a stage since their childhood performances, and invites them all to acting, dance or stage movement workshops. These activities are hosted by Casa de Cultura a Studentilor and the trainers are professional and amateur actors and directors, including some of A Mouthful of Theater's participants with significant stage experience.

"I attended the workshop of the guys from PPT [Passe-Partout]. The movements and the pantomime exercises we've done were excelent (miming walking, running, walking on the wall, etc.). Very interesting. I've also been to the workshop trained by Monica, the Polish girl. I liked the way she managed to explain us the difference between the interhuman communication from past and the present-day one, and how important is to establish a direct relationship with people. All in all, both workshops were very well done. I felt sorry they were running out of time. Time was way too short." (Anda Tamasanu)

"I took the juggling workshop [trained by The Serious Road Trip], where I learned you really need a lot of practice to be able to do what they can easily do with objects." (Diana Tatomir)

"Monica's workshop was about storytelling. For me there were a lot of new things: the way the story and the communication has to evolve, tricks people use when they tell or listen to a story. Also, I liked the workshop trained by Passe-Partout, pantomime: the basis of pantomime and the fact that you have to be very sure yourself of what you do." (Ionel Marginean)

"I've participated in the workshop trained by the guys from Passe-Partout, where I've learned some basis elements in pantomime. It was interesting and I think they are all useful elements for our possible future plays." (Oana Petrescu)

Open Day - ateliere pentru toata lumea

(Anda Tamasanu)

(Oana Petrescu)
