2nd training - Improvisation in Acting - Amalia Ciolan

EN: The art of improvisation, far from being a superficial game, plays the most important role in the art of acting. The ease of playing instinctively and spontaneously, the ability of reacting in critical situations created either by the audience or by the role partner, the capacity of listing and expressing yourself accurately represent essential elements in an actor's/actress's evolution towards accomplishment.

  What participants said:

"I loved her seriousness and her passion for theater, her meticulousness and the fact she was never losing her patience or neglecting anyone. Thus, in the end, everybody had contributed equally to the workshop. You could just see that everything she did was done out of passion. I liked everything about the workshop. We learned new improvisation exercises, new tricks, and even her conversation was extremely loveable and interesting." (Anda Tamasanu)

"Amalia taught us all kinds of improvisation exercises. The most important thing I've learned from her is that when I have a part in a play my first thoughts have to be: Who is this character? What does he or she want? I need to clarify all these to myself first and so, later on, the audience will be able to understand it as well." (Andra Duteanu)

"I liked the fact she was very serious about her work, firm in her demands, in her exercises and her explanations, and I also learned to think more, and from multiple perspectives, about a specific character before interpreting it." (Oana Petrescu)

"I appreciated the fact she was working very professionally, she was never saying 'You did wrong.' she was saying 'It's good, it's quite good, BUT you could...' I believe this has made everybody feel better." (Anonymous)

(anonim)
